Fairies In The Garden

Can we take a second to admire all of the loveliness that is this photograph?!
I had a wonderful time working with some of my dear friends over the holiday break!
I am so blessed to have such talented and motivated friends!
The amazing photographer is by J.Schell, She has such an eye for photography and beautiful composition!
The hair and makeup was done by my other friend Brenna of BrennaBeauty(The girl in the blue).
The other model was my friend Ilyssa who is also a professional hair and makeup artist!
The fashion styling was my job and boy did I have fun with this one!
Who wouldn't like styling an enchanted fairy garden like shoot on the grounds of a historic plantation house in the deep south?!
A crazy person!!!

For more photos from this shoot  and others like it check out the J.Schell tumblr page jesschell.tumblr.com!
Seriously you will wonder why you haven't seen her stuff yet(and become addicted) if you haven't already!

My Funny Valentine

Valentine's Day is just around the corner!
Here are some pretty pink items that I have enjoyed and maybe you would too!
You can buy them for your loved one, special someone or even yourself!

The REVLON colorburst matte balm is in the shade Unapologetic.
The NYX butter gloss is in the shade Strawberry Parfait.
The Tart Amazonian clay 12 hour blush is in the color achiote.
I know the perfume is an obvious one but just in case someone doesn't know it's the Marc Jacobs scent Daisy Eau So Fresh.
It smells beautiful and the bottle is just the CUTEST thing!!!

This picture was taken in the reflection of my Urban Decay NAKED palette, If anyone on your list loves makeup any of the 3 NAKED palettes will be a hit!
I've been eyeing the NAKED3 since it came out and I might just have to go for it!

I hope this helped someone out who was still trying to make those last minute decisions!
And while all of these things are fun and pretty to play with, the most important part of Valentine's day is letting your sweetheart and the people around you know how much you love and care for them!
Writing a sweet love letter from the heart is probably one of the best gift ideas EVER!!!
The Beatles said it better than I ever could!
"I don't care too much for money cause money can't buy me love"
Different people have different love languages and that is okay, as long as a couple understands each other's language!

Also a word to the single people, go out or stay in with some of your single friends!
DON'T post on facebook or any other social media site how lonely you will forever be and how it's "Single awareness day" I love you but it's not healthy to dwell on the negative!
If you don't have any single friends or you are a lone wolf to begin with take yourself out on a date!
If you're not into crowds wear your cutest pj's and watch your favorite movie/show marathon with your favorite two people in the world Ben&Jerry!
Some might think that's depressing but the crazy cat lady side of me thinks that sounds like a merry little time!
(It's funny that I say side of me like the other "normal" side exists)
My point is you can choose to be happy or depressed, I've been single most of my life but I still love love.
I'm glad that we have a day celebrating butterflies in our stomaches, stars in our eyes and kisses that make the world stand still!
And if that's too cheesy for you remember that valentine candy goes on sale the next day...
Yep, I went there!

Vanity Fair

Welcome to the wedding expo that took place in the Chipley AG center.
I was asked to help decorate the BrennaBeauty booth as well as be a hair model by Brenna.
Here are some behind the scenes photos from before, during and after the wedding expo.
Brenna and Caroline carefully selecting the pictures of hair and makeup work from Brenna's portfolio.
I helped of course but someone had to document! :)
The idea for the booth was a vintage vanity set up.
I always get nostalgic when I see an old vanity and wonder how many times and how many people have used it for putting on their lipstick and making sure their hair was just right.
Although I didn't bring my entire vanity I did bring a few pieces that rest on it everyday.
We displayed several photos in one large vintage frame by placing Brenna's card holder behind the frame and propping the entire thing against a metal dress form that Caroline has had for years.
Brenna's business cards and seashell collection.
The bridal bouquet that we used was actually Brenna's mother's from her wedding day!
Just a fun fact for everyone! ^_^

Finishing touches.
And we were open for business!!!
More vintage details!
The jewelry box is one of my favorite vintage finds and one of the things I keep on my own vanity!
Brenna and her two hair models!
Caroline on the left and me on the right!
While I didn't wear a wedding dress I did wear a vintage white dress that was reminiscent of one!
The dress was one that I got from Kim of SassySisterVintage and it's one of my favorites!
A closeup of crazy gorgeous Caroline!
Spanish moss is so pretty and one great indicator that you are in the south!
The sun was directly in my face but this is the only picture that really shows the entire dress at once!
Brenna of BrennaBeauty the lovely lady herself does hair, makeup as well as photography for all of your special occasions!
Like her Facebook page BrennaBeauty for more information and ways to contact her!

Thank you to Brenna for asking me to come along to the wedding expo and for doing my hair!
Especially for letting my camera crash the party!!!
OH! And for taking these pictures after the day at the expo was over!

My Birthday Suit... Sort of.

 Breakfast in bed.
Wearing one of the things from that box you saw earlier.
These Earrings, I'm obsessed!

What I wore to church!
I love the gold beading on this vintage cardigan my sister gave me!

Closeup of these stunners!!!
The sun was so bright we hid behind this pine tree!
There's a photography tip for you!
Not that i'm a professional! ;)

My cake was strawberry with cream cheese icing and yes it tasted even better than it looked if that's possible!
We didn't really put the right amount of candles on... I got a little candle happy!
The long thin ones were sparkler candles, the more the merrier right?!
 TA-DA! I had two cakes!
This one was the same flavor as the other but with a nice layer of ice cream in the middle!!!
We ended the night by sipping Mom's hot chocolate (topped off with home made whipped cream) around the fire with family and friends!!!
The earrings are by Sorrelli a fabulous jewelry brand with a great reputation!
The link to their online store is Here!

I had a very happy birthday and I didn't have to beg Colton to take these outfit pictures because, "But it's my Birthday." works almost every time! ;)

In case you are confused I would like to clarify that my birthday was on Sunday and I'm just getting around to posting this!
Hence the church reference and Sunday dress!
I'm glad my birthday fell on a Sunday this year because I got to put on my "Birthday suit" and wear one of my presents!
That reminds me, I will include the other trinkets in that box on a later blog!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful birthday this year and if your's hasn't come yet be patient, it will come and go before you know it!

Hen Party

Yesterday was the Ideal girls' day!
Mom, Megan, Bree and I started with a baby shower for my cousin-in-law at the home of another cousin!
Her house is ADORABLE!!!
It doesn't stop there though, she has the most perfect little cottage that her honey built for her to do with whatever she could dream.
And boy did she dream!
Right down to the little seashell filled bottles and dried bouquets everything was methodically placed to make her happy and please the eye.
I urged her to start a blog and I will definitely let you know if she does!!!

After the baby shower we headed to our favorite vintage stores (our weakness) and we had a pleasant day of it!
We stopped for a dumpling fix and Megan pointed out that Bree and I have nearly the same eye color!
She took the picture just so that we could see what she was talking about but I included it anyway!
Last I have to show you my favorite fortune I've ever received!
I hope that I have lived up to it thus far and continue to strive for it every day.
Shouldn't we all?
