Wind Tossed

 Sisters are forever.

This outtake was too cute not to share!!!
She made this face when the wind blew her hair out of place! haha

Sometimes magic happens when you stop fighting the wind.
 My mom's mini me!

Just keep dreaming.

Your sister is your first best friend.

As you can see my cousins made my job very easy!

Our family is multicultural and none of my Grandma's grandchildren really look the same.
(Except for Colton and Chase #twinning)
These Cousins have a 1/2 Filipino dad and their mom (my mom's sister) is 1/2 Korean.
When you combine all of the genes it really is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get!
Of course the results are stunning and the girls so special inside and out.
One is a kick butt athlete, another a total genius and last but not least, one has the makings of a top chef.
Each has her future in her hands and can accomplish anything she sets her mind to.
I might be a little bit biased but I do believe in them and I wish we all lived closer so we could see each other more often!

Two of the girls have left with my aunt today but one remains and we will be taking more pictures!!! :)
Keep a look out!

I love the sights of summer.
And of course capturing them with my camera.
This gorgeous lavender gown was made and worn for a wedding in the 1950s.
It's beautiful when people wear fun colors on their wedding day!
I adore tulle and this soft color was just perfect.
The dress is from SassySisterVintage click the link to see this dress and many others while they are still available!!!

Almost There.

I Love my family and as cliché as it sounds, They grow up so fast!!!
My Cousin is graduating from high school next year and while her family is visiting us for the summer we did a few senior portraits!
In no time at all she will be graduating.
The question isn't, "is she ready for the world?" but "Is the world ready for her?".

While I was putting on her makeup before the shoot we were talking about life and love and I told her that I didn't really believe in soul mates.
I told her instead I believe in many people that you can have a strong connection with and a love for.
But I take it back!
I believe that your soul mates are the ones you are born with, your family, the people who drive you crazy but you wouldn't want to be without them.
We are loud when we get together and our schedules revolve around mealtimes.
We love unconditionally and we laugh at each other's corny jokes.
Without my family I am not myself.

National Geographic

The Honey moon shining in all of its glory on my little part of the world.
The start of another adventure, taking a boat tour around the Wakulla Springs river was just as fascinating as I remembered it!
Wakulla Springs is home to all kinds of plant and animal wildlife, you can visit the area 365 days a year.
It is also the largest fresh water spring in the world... Not just the U.S., The WORLD!!!
And such a lovely place in the world it is!
I was a little obsessed with the male wood ducks who only come out this time of the year.
The boat tours happen multiple times a day and as a result the animals barley look twice as you pass by.
Alligators and their mysterious smiles give the Mona Lisa a run for her money.

 I see you...
 So handsome!!!!

The manatee come and go from the area but we were lucky enough to see the gentle giants during  this trip.
Two adults and one calf made the entire boat lean farther than it should have as everyone aboard raced to one side!

Later after the boat tour we cooled off in the swimming area and to our delighted surprise the Manatee decided to investigate all of the swimming pedestrians!
Wade was within 3 ft. of the calf but due to the laws prohibiting physical contact everyone kept a very wide and respectful distance.
It helped having several park workers with whistles cutting eyes at anyone who so much as breathed too roughly in the animals direction.
I have so many pictures from this little adventure and I definitely felt like I was on the National Geographic payroll (if only).
I've broken the trip into two posts and I will post the second one very soon!!!
I hope you enjoyed accompanying my family and I!!!

Take the opportunity to go with your family or by yourself on your own little adventure!
