Medicine Man

                This is pretty much just a post to show you my new choker for Mia Luna(and the inside of my nose apparently)! It makes me think of a medicine man, hence the title. Leave a comment if you would like to see this choker on my etsy site!!! The hat i'm wearing was a gift from my sister Megan this past Christmas! The cardigan is a men's XL that came from a thrift store.

                                                                                                            PS Here's a cool trick my aunt taught me!!! If you have crazy, curly, frizzy hair like me put a little bit of styling gel in and just twist it in one direction like you see in the picture. Once it dries you can separate the curls and the frizz should be contained!

The little things

             I keep discovering new things through the lens and closeups are now one of them! Am I a professional yet? Not by any means but I am learning and so this year one of my goals is to take pictures of what inspires me! Even if it is just the little things. Oh and to blog more!!! ;)

Testing out my new camera!!!

          Just a quick post to let you know I'm testing out my new baby!The Canon EOS Rebel T3i , If you are interested in one you can click on the link to check it out! I'm in crazy mad love but I'm still learning!!! These are a few shots of my lovely cousin Taran and the last one is of me with my crazy hair! ;)  Here's to my new camera and all of the adventures I plan on taking her along on!!! I hope everyone is still enjoying their winter break!

      Winter can be dreary and cold and wet and all you want to do is pile on are layers and layers of down/puffiness! These patterned pants make such a great compromise of fashion meets function! (I layer mine with thermal pants underneath for those especially bone chilling days.) The key to wearing patterned pants is wearing solid and/or simple on top! 

How I wore them from left to right: A slightly fitted soft grey 3/4 sleeve sweatshirt. 

                                                     A Cream fitted sweater with an oxblood colored leather trench.

                                                     A powder blue sweater with a sandy/tan blazer.

                                                     A Chambray shirt tucked in with a black belt. 

      To keep the outfit me I added these two necklaces alternating them from one outfit to the next. The first outfit was a little too grey for me, So I wore both of the necklaces together! My Mia Luna bracelet had to get a plug because I've been wearing it nonstop! Don't forget to stop by Piperbydesign for a look at the Mia Luna line! I hope this gave you a little inspiration on how you can style patterned pants and statement necklaces!
